372 Digital wins Round 4 of the Digital Canberra Challenge

ACT Chief Minister, Andrew Barr announced… “And the winner for Round 4 of the Digital Canberra Challenge, is the ESA Workforce Connect smartphone app, created by the digital creative agency 372 Digital”.

On Friday, 20 November 2015, we attended the Digital Canberra Challenge awards where we were one of two finalists. And the results at those awards were: WE WON!! This is a great accomplishment for the 372 Digital team, and we are very optimistic and excited for the future.

Having been selected to compete in Round 4 of the Digital Canberra Challenge was an amazing opportunity for 372 Digital staff to work on a bespoke, integrated communication solution for the ACT Emergency Services Agency (ESA). What we have developed is a proof-of-concept platform that effectively delivers a two-way communication with ESA’s 24/7 workforce of staff and volunteers.

Good afternoon ACT Chief Minister Andrew Barr, ESA Commissioner Dominic Lane, ladies and gentleman.

First and foremost, we would like to thank the Emergency Services Agency for choosing to work with 372 Digital to develop the ESA Workforce Connect app. It has been almost 6 months since we entered Round 4 of the Digital Canberra Challenge and what a journey it was. It has been a thought provoking and creative experience, the best 6 months we’ve had in our 7 years of operation.

Special thanks to Darren Cutrupi, Manager of ESA’s Emergency Media and Broadcasting Services for his continued support throughout the challenge. Your experience in the communications industry and knowledge of ESA operations has been invaluable to the project.

Congratulations to Rollercoaster Digital for being one of two finalists and your work on the ACT Heritage website and app. We wish you the very best moving forward.

We would like to thank all the sponsors, supporters and organisers of the Digital Canberra Challenge, the ACT Government, eGovCluster, Cre8ive, CollabIT, Canberra Business Chamber and Data61 for giving us the opportunity to showcase our skills and abilities.

And finally, I would like to thank my team. Thank you for sharing the dream, thank you for exploring it with me and thank you for believing. It has been a long journey, one that will be cemented in our memories and 372 Digital’s history forever. I salute you all for a job well done. This win is as much yours as it is the company. Congratulations!
